Conference Announcement
Dear colleagues!
We invite you to participate in the XX² International Scientific and Practical Conference
“Thermal Power Engineering: Paths of Renovation and Development”
Conference Organizers:
• National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
• Ministry of Energy of Ukraine
• Institute of Thermal Power Technologies, NAS of Ukraine
• NTU “KPI named after Igor Sikorskyy”
• NTU “Dnipro Polytechnic”
• Lviv Polytechnic National University
• DELTIMA LLC (Poland)
Date and Venue:
• Dates: October 16–17, 2025
• Mode: Zoom conference
• Before the conference, a printed Proceedings of Scientific Papers will be issued, assigned an ISBN and DOI. Materials submitted will be included in the Proceedings after peer review.
Conference Goals:
• Discuss issues of reliability, efficiency, and environmental friendliness of thermal power plants
• Expand the range of load regulation
• Use of traditional and alternative fuels
• Address urgent issues of thermal power engineering in wartime and postwar periods
• Application of renewable energy sources in thermal power engineering
Conference Topics:
• Current state of global and domestic energy sectors; the place and role of thermal generation in the transition to “decarbonized” energy
• Modern technologies for burning solid and gaseous fuels
• Resource base of the fuel-energy complex
• Ways to substitute fossil fuels in industry and the housing sector; use of alternative fuels (biomass, RDF, SRF, etc.)
• Thermal power engineering as an element of distributed generation
• Environmental problems of energy and ways to address them
• Scientific and technical support for fault-free operation and recovery of thermal power facilities in wartime
• Improvement of fuel preparation technologies at TPPs and TECs
• Methods for diagnosing energy processes and equipment
• Methods of modernization and reconstruction of TPPs and boiler units of TECs to broaden their load regulation range
• Gasification and production of chemical products from solid fuel
• Fuel-storing energy carriers of surplus energy; hydrogen and ammonium energy
• Theoretical issues of combustion and heat-mass transfer in energy installations
• Implementation of energy efficiency measures and information technologies
Participation Conditions:
• To participate in the conference and have a report included in the Proceedings, please submit an application and a report (up to 5 pages) to the organizing committee by October 3, 2025, via email to: teti.conference@gmail.com, ilv.golenko@gmail.com, itet_stepanok@ukr.net
